Box Score 2 PERRYSBURG, Ohio – The No. 5 ranked Parkland College volleyball team picked up two more wins at the Owens Invitational on Sunday, September 1st, improving to 12-0 on the season. The Cobras beat St. Johns River Community College in five sets and Cuyahoga Community College in three sets.

In the first match of the day, Parkland won in a thrilling 3-2 victory over St. Johns River Community College (6-4). After losing the first set (25-23), the Cobras came back to beat the Vikings in set two (25-15) and set three (25-19). The Vikings would win set four (27-25) before the Cobras sealed a 15-11 win in the fifth set.
Brooklyn Holdener ended the match with 14 kills, with
Addie Beekman adding on 12 kills. Â

In Parkland's last match of the Owens Invitational, the Cobras cruised to a three-set victory against Cuyahoga Community College (3-3).
Shay McMillen and
Maliah Sparks each had 9 kills for the Cobras.Â

Up next, Parkland will host conference foe and 10th-ranked Heartland Community College on Wednesday, September 4 at the Donald Dodds Athletic Complex. The match against the Hawks will begin at 6:00 PM on Wednesday.
