Box Score CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Parkland College women's soccer team faced John Wood Community College (2-5) for the second time this season on Saturday, September 28th. Luciana Alvarez scored the first goal of the match in the 6th minute, but the Blazers quickly followed suit, scoring a goal in the 7th minute. The score remained tied at 1-1 going into the half, but the Cobras (0-9) were unable to find the back of the net again. 
 
Six Cobras took a total of nine shots in the match. There were four shots on goal, with two from Luciana Alvarez, one from Aina Bugeda, and one from Katie Clark. Flynn LeMaire had one corner kick and Leire Rodriguez had nine saves in the loss. This season, Rodriguez has an 80.2% save percentage and is currently leading the nation in saves.
