CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa –The No. 3 ranked Cobras volleyball team started off strong at the Kirkwood Tri in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with two sweeps against Lincoln Land Community College and No. 14 Sauk Valley Community College. Parkland remains undefeated this season, sweeping 12 of the 15 teams they have faced.

In the first match of the day, the Cobras (15-0) played Lincoln Land Community College (5-3) for the second time this season. The Cobras controlled all three sets, winning 25-12, 25-15, 25-11.
Brooklyn Holdener had 10 kills for Parkland.
Riley Ries and
Shay McMillen both added 7 kills.

In the second match of the day, the Cobras faced No. 14 Sauk Valley Community College (7-2), ultimately beating the Skyhawks in three competitive sets (25-19, 25-20, 25-19). In the win, the Cobras totaled 43 kills, 10 aces, and 75 digs.Â

Up next, the Cobras will remain in Cedar Rapids for day two of the Kirkwood Tri. Parkland matches up against No. 2 Johnson County Community College at 9:00 AM and Missouri State University - West Plains at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 7.Â
