Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa –The No. 3 ranked Cobras volleyball team split its final two matches in the Kirkwood Tri on Saturday, September 7. The Cobras (16-1) lost in four sets to No. 2 Johnson County Community College (9-0) before beating Missouri State University - West Plains (6-4) on day two of the two-day tournament.
 
Parkland played No. 2 Johnson County Community College in a top-3 matchup to start the day. The Cobras narrowly dropped the first two sets (26-24, 25-19) before winning set three 25-23. The Lady Cavaliers responded with a tight 25-23 victory in set four to take the win. Shay McMillen had 13 kills for the Cobras in the first loss of the season. 
 
In the second match of the day, the Cobras faced Missouri State University-West Plains, winning in four sets. Brooklyn Holdener and Shay McMillen had 15 kills each. 
 
Up next, the Cobras will travel to Normal, Illinois, for the Heartland Tri on Saturday, September 14th. Parkland plays against North Iowa Area Community College at 12:00 PM and Harper College at 2:00 PM.
