CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – No. 7 Parkland men's basketball defeated Edison State Community College (7-9) on Wednesday, January 15. Jaiden Martin led the Cobras (16-2) with 20 points to help secure the 52-point win at home.

The Cobras played efficient basketball in the first half, shooting 61.3% from the field, 52.9% from three, and outrebounding the Chargers 20-9. Parkland continued to set the pace for the remainder of the half, pulling ahead 50-26 after a JaMonte Williams layup with under a minute left. The Cobras didn't slow down in the second half and took full control of the game after going up 30 in the first several minutes. Six Cobras scored in double digits, and Kobe Watson grabbed 8 rebounds. Parkland remains undefeated (10-0) at home after the win against the Chargers.
