Box Score CANTON, Ill. – Parkland women's basketball defeated Spoon River College (5-11) by 43 points on Saturday, January 18.
Stacie Vonderheide led the Cobras with 26 points and 16 rebounds.
Parkland (11-7) led by six points after the first quarter, but quickly extended the lead in the second quarter. Going into halftime, the Cobras had the 45-30 lead. Parkland maintained the lead in the third quarter, and the Cobra defense only allowed the Snappers to score five points in the fourth quarter to earn the win on the road. The Cobras shot 34-73 (46.6%) from the field and 13-15 (86.7%) from the free throw line to win their third game in a row and improve to 11-7 on the season.
Maliah Sparks went 7-13 from the field and 2-6 from three to contribute 16 points.
Crissiana Rose also put up 13 points, going 5-5 from the free throw line.
