Box Score CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Parkland women's basketball dropped a game to No. 6 Lake Land College (12-3) on Saturday, January 4. The Cobras (8-7) kept the game close in the first half, but a 22-point third quarter for the Lakers helped the visitors pull away and hand Parkland the 60-46 loss.
The Cobras trailed by five points with 54 seconds on the clock in the first quarter but made it a one-point game going into the second quarter. With 7:07 on the clock in the second quarter, the Cobras had pulled ahead by four points. The Lakers got the lead back with 6:30 on the clock and went into halftime ahead 24-21. In the third quarter, the Lakers outscored the Cobras 22-12 to give them the 46-33 lead. The 13-point deficit was too much for the Cobras to come back from in the fourth quarter, and Lake Land maintained the lead for the remainder of the game.
Crissiana Rose led the offense in the loss with 13 points.
