Cobras Fall on the Road to Clarke University

Parkland battles through a hard-fought matchup

GALESBURG, Ill. — October 14, 2025 — The Parkland College men's soccer team dropped a 3–1 decision on Tuesday afternoon to Clarke University in a competitive road contest.

After falling behind 1–0 in the 28th minute, the Cobras found the equalizer midway through the second half when Pierce Cannon scored in the 58th minute off an assist from Gustavo Poli. However, Clarke regained the lead in the 75th minute and sealed the match with an insurance goal just six minutes later.

Parkland totaled seven shots, with all seven on target, and utilized all three goalkeepers throughout the match. Tom Evers, Hayden Litteken, and Tresody Ondongo combined for two saves across 90 minutes.

With the result, Parkland moves to 8–8 overall on the season.

Up next, the Cobras will return home for their final regular-season matchup on October 18th against John Wood Community College at 2PM.
