CHAMPAIGN, Ill. ā October 18, 2025 ā The Parkland College men's soccer team closed out the regular season in dominant fashion on Saturday afternoon, earning a 3ā0 win over John Wood Community College on Sophomore Night.
The Cobras took control early and never looked back. Isaac Warren opened the scoring in the 31st minute, assisted by Alexander Williams, to give Parkland a first-half lead. The momentum carried into the second half, with Gustavo Poli doubling the advantage in the 61st minute off an assist from Marcos Campa, before Rommy Hassan sealed the win in the 73rd minute on a setup from Pierce Cannon.
Parkland's offense was relentless, recording 23 total shots (13 on goal), while the defense held strong to secure the clean sheet. Goalkeepers Tresody Ondongo and Hayden Litteken combined for three saves to preserve the shutout.
The victory brings Parkland's regular season record to 9ā8 heading into postseason play. As regional champions, the Cobras will host the NJCAA Region 24 Tournament on November 1st.
