CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — October 19, 2025 — No. 4 Parkland College Volleyball made Sophomore Day one to remember, securing two victories over Frontier Community College at the Parkland Tri on Saturday afternoon. The Cobras won the opener 3-1 (25-19, 25-11, 20-25, 25-17) before sweeping the rematch 3-0.
Parkland opened the day with a balanced four-set win, using its trademark ball control and net presence to pull away from Frontier in key moments.
After taking the first two sets handily, Parkland regrouped following a narrow third-set loss and closed out the match convincingly with a decisive finish.
The Cobras kept their foot on the gas in the second match, sweeping Frontier in straight sets to close out the doubleheader.

McMillen once again paced the offense with 13 kills and a .407 hitting percentage, while Alexander followed with 8 kills on .471 efficiency.

Bella McKinney added 6 kills, and Christman finished with 6 kills and 2 blocks.

Warfel and Freeman tallied a combined 25 assists, directing a Parkland offense that hit .278 and totaled 16 blocks across the day.

Sophomore Addie Beekman and McEwen steadied the defense with 33 combined digs.
Parkland controlled the tempo from start to finish, using its depth and precision to wrap up a dominant day of play and celebrate its sophomores' contributions both on and off the court.
Up next, the Cobras will stay at home to host the Parkland Region Crossover Tournament on October 24–25.
