CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — October 24, 2025 — No. 3 Parkland Volleyball opened the Parkland Region Crossover Tournament in commanding fashion Friday, sweeping both McHenry County College (25-8, 25-14, 25-16) and Rock Valley College (25-12, 25-7, 25-6). 

With efficient offense and relentless defense, the Cobras improved to 42-4 on the season, controlling both matches from start to finish.

Parkland started the day with a straight-set victory over McHenry County. Shay McMillen led the Cobras' balanced attack with 8 kills, while Bella McKinney and Natalie Alexander each added 5 kills apiece, with Alexander hitting a blistering .625. Hailey Warfel set the tempo with 17 assists, and Ashlee Freeman chipped in two aces and two assists. Anna McEwen led the defense with 12 digs, and the Cobras combined for 12 total blocks to stifle McHenry's offense.

In their second match of the day, the Cobras turned in one of their cleanest performances of the season, limiting Rock Valley to single digits in two of three sets. Addie Beekman led the offense with 9 kills on an efficient .571 hitting percentage, while McMillen and McKinney followed with 8 and 3 kills, respectively. Freeman and Warfel combined for 28 assists, while McEwen added 14 digs in the back row. Parkland hit an impressive .359 as a team, finishing with 32 kills and 20 service aces to cap off a successful day.

The No. 3 Parkland Cobras return to action on Saturday, October 25, to close out the Region Crossover Tournament. They will face No. 12 Sauk Valley Community College at 9 AM, followed by Carl Sandburg College at 11 AM.
