CHAMPAIGN, Ill.—November 12, 2025— The No. 19 Parkland College women's basketball team continued its undefeated start to the season with a decisive 90–56 victory over Wabash Valley College on Wednesday. The Cobras controlled the game from start to finish, outscoring the Warriors in every quarter and shooting 48.1% from the field.
Yohangeli Guzman set the tone with a strong all-around performance, scoring 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting while adding 6 rebounds and 4 assists.
Stacie Vonderheide once again delivered a standout showing, finishing with 14 points, 8 rebounds, and a blocked shot. Siarah Brown added 12 points and 5 rebounds, knocking down a pair of threes in the win.
Kiarra Orphelia provided major production off the bench with 10 points and 5 rebounds, shooting 4-for-10 from the floor. Haley Collins also turned in a strong effort, totaling 8 points, 5 rebounds, and a block.
Sofia Perez continued her excellent playmaking with 9 points, 7 rebounds, an assist, and a steal, anchoring the Cobras' second unit.
Parkland's defense held Wabash Valley to just 7 first-quarter points. Offensively, the Cobras assisted on 18 of their 37 made field goals and knocked down 11 of 12 free throws (91.7%).
Up next, the Cobras (3-0) will travel to Estherville, Iowa, to play Iowa Lakes Community College on November 14.
