FORT DODGE, Iowa. — November 8, 2025 — Battling frigid temperatures and snow-covered terrain, Aleigha Garrison of the Parkland College women's cross country team competed at the NJCAA Division II National Championship on Saturday. Garrison capped her season with a 17th-place overall finish in the women's 5k race, clocking a time of 19:56.0 against a field of over 320 of the nation's top DII runners.

Despite the challenging weather, Garrison remained poised from start to finish. Her top-20 finish completes a season that included multiple top-3 finishes, All-Region honors, and consistent leadership as the Cobras' top runner.

The NJCAA DII Championship race marked the conclusion of the Cobras' 2025 season—one defined by growth, grit, and promising performances.
