Box Score 2 VICKSBURG, Mississippi – No. 21 Parkland College softball split two games at the Hinds JUCO Classic in Vicksburg, Mississippi, on Friday, February 21. Parkland (4-2) struggled to score in the first game of the weekend, tallying just four hits in five innings, but bounced back with a win against East Mississippi Community College (3-3).

The Lady Wolves (5-3) jumped on Parkland early, scoring their first run in the 2nd inning and adding another 10 in the 3rd inning to get the 11-0 lead. The Lady Wolves got another two runs in the top of the 4th inning, and a
Lucy Fearday single in the bottom of the inning gave the Cobras a baserunner, but they were unable to get on the board. Fearday,
Nicole Sinks,
Reece Sarver, and
Kallie Evans each had a hit for the Cobras.Â

Claire Black (2.1 IP, 8 H, 8 R, 7 ER, 3 K) took the loss, and
Lucy Fearday (2.2 IP, 5 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 1 K) pitched 2.2 innings of relief for the Cobras.

Game 2: No. 21 Parkland College 7, East Mississippi Community College 2

The second game of the day was scoreless until the top of the 4th inning, when
Lindsey Muskopf doubled, scoring a run. The Cobras scored four more runs in that inning, taking the 5-0 lead after a triple from
Ellie Lowe scored three runs and a
Jordyn Turner single scored another run. Parkland extended the lead to 7-0 in the top of the 5th inning, and East Mississippi put two runs on the board in the bottom of the inning, but it wasn't enough. The Cobras compiled nine hits in the win, with
Ellie Lowe and
Maddie Gourley contributing two apiece.

Mya Brown (7.0 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 4 K) pitched all seven innings for the Cobras, throwing six innings of no-hit scoreless softball with four strikeouts.Â
