Box Score 1 CLERMONT, Fla. – The Parkland College softball team won two more games at The Spring Games on Tuesday, March 18. The Cobras defeated SUNY Niagara (0-6) 16-3 and Waubonsee Community College (9-5) 7-0, improving to 13-9 on the season.
Game 1: Parkland College 16, SUNY Niagara 3
In the first two innings of the game, the Cobras scored all 16 of their runs, with 11 different Cobras contributing at least one hit. Parkland had the 16-1 lead going into the 3rd inning, and the Sharks tacked on two more runs in the top of the inning. Relief pitcher
Lucy Fearday only allowed one baserunner in the last two innings, and the Sharks were unable to overcome the deficit. The Cobras won 16-3 over the Sharks in five innings, led by
Ellie Lowe with three hits.

Claire Black (3.0 IP, 3 R, 3 ER, 3 BB) allowed six hits in three innings while striking out five batters.
Lucy Fearday (2.0 IP, 0 BB, 3 K) pitched the final two innings, allowing one hit and no runs.
Game 2: Parkland College 7, Waubonsee Community College 0
The Cobras took an early lead in the top of the first inning when
Jordyn Turner scored on a passed ball, and they didn't stop there.
Maddie Gourley made it a 4-0 game in the 4th inning with an RBI double, and
Nicole Sinks sealed the win with a solo home run in the 6th inning. On the mound,
Mya Brown (7.0 IP, 1 BB) was dominant, allowing five hits and striking out six. Gourley led the offense with two hits.
Up next, the Cobras play South Suburban College (3-6) and SUNY Niagara on Wednesday, March 19. Parkland will face the Bulldogs at 11:30 am ET and the Sharks at 4:30 pm ET.
