Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 WINTER HAVEN, Fla. –  The Parkland College softball team defeated South Suburban College (4-6) and SUNY Niagara (0-7) on Wednesday, March 19, to close out The Spring Games. The Cobras went 7-0 while in Florida, and improved to 15-9 on the season. 
 
Game 1: Parkland College 13, South Suburban 1
In the first inning, Jordyn Turner walked and later scored on an error, followed by key singles from Claire Black, Lucy Fearday, and Ellie Lowe, which helped extend the lead to 2-0. Abbey Horeis, Kailee Otto, and Nicole Sinks kept it going, each hitting a double to push the score to 9-0. The Cobras put up another four runs in the 4th inning to make it 13-0, and the Bulldogs scored their only run in the bottom of the 5th, but it wasn't enough. Parkland defeated the Bulldogs for the second time at The Spring Games 15-1, led by Kailee Otto with two hits. 

Lucy Fearday (5.0 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 0 BB, 6 K) pitched all five innings, only allowing three hits and striking out six. 
 
Game 2: Parkland College 15, SUNY Niagara 1
The Thunderwolves got on the board in the top of the 1st, but the Cobras responded by scoring six runs in the bottom half of the inning. Parkland continued to extend the lead every inning and did not allow the Thunderwolves to score again. The Cobras tallied 15 hits in the win, with Abbey Horeis knocking in three runs. Mya Brown struck out 10 batters, only allowing four hits.

Up next, the Cobras play a doubleheader against Lewis and Clark Community College (0-8) on Saturday, March 22. The first game is scheduled for 1:00 pm at the Parkland College Softball field.
