NORMAL, Ill. – The Parkland College golf team was back in action on Friday, March 28, at the Cougar Spring Shoot Out in Normal, Illinois. Among a field of 16, the Cobras bested them all, winning the event by three strokes.
Isaac Molloy placed first overall with a score of 72 (+1), finishing four strokes ahead of the second place finisher from Illinois Central College. Molloy, who birdied five times, also made the All-Tournament Team, in addition to
Will Ross,
Brando Signorini, and
Jason Runbom.

The Cobras battled in tough weather conditions, with winds up to 40+ mph. Runbom placed 6th with a score of 78 (+2), and Ross and Signorini were right behind him with scores of 79 (+8).
Ludvig Granlund (+9, 80) had a two-birdie, 6-par day, and
Cal Johnson (+10, 81),
Marcos Park (+12, 83), and Will Semen (+17, 88) all rounded out the scoring.Â

"I'm super proud of the guys and their mental toughness today," Parkland head coach Nick Berger stated. "Extremely tough playing conditions and they all held their composure."
