Lucy Fearday picked up their 10th and 5th wins of the season, respectively. The Cobras (25-11) improve to 8-2 in conference play after the two wins on the road.Â

Game 1: No. 23 Parkland College 16, Lewis & Clark Community College 3
The Cobras set the tone early in the first game of the doubleheader, putting up five runs in the top of the 1st on a mix of hits and errors, including a two-RBI single by
Claire Black and a triple by
Ellie Lowe. They followed that with a three-run second inning, highlighted by a three-run home run from
Nicole Sinks, and added four more in the third to build a commanding 13-0 lead. The Trailblazers started to put runs on the board in the bottom of the 3rd, but the momentum was short-lived. The Cobras continued their offensive barrage in the 4th, adding three more runs off a triple by
Maddie Gourley and a double by
Jordyn Turner to put the Cobras up 16-3. The Cobras tallied 13 hits, led by
Maddie Gourley (3 H, 2 RBI) and
Nicole Sinks (2 H, 4 RBI).Â

Mya Brown (5 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 BB) pitched all five innings for the Cobras, earning the win and striking out six.Â

Game 2: No. 23 Parkland College 6, Lewis & Clark Community College 2
The Cobras broke open a 1–1 tie in the third inning when
Claire Black launched a two-run home run to center field, giving the Cobras a 3–1 lead. Parkland extended the lead in the top of the 7th inning after an
Abbey Horeis double and
Maddie Gourley single put the Cobras on top 6-2. Black finished the game with a home run, a double, a single, and 2 RBI.
Lucy Fearday and
Maddie Gourley each had two hits.Â
Lucy Fearday (8 H, 2 R, 2 ER) pitched all seven innings, recording one walk and two strikeouts.Â
Up next, the Cobras compete in a doubleheader at Lincoln Land Community College (15-17) on Sunday, April 13. The first game is scheduled for 1:00 pm in Springfield, Illinois.Â
