Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ALTON, Ill. – The No. 16 ranked Parkland baseball team dropped two games at Lewis & Clark Community College (25-21) on Friday, April 18. The Cobras (25-13) fell behind early in the first game, losing 10-0, and fell just short 3-2 in the second game. Parkland recorded seven hits in the two games.

The Cobras only had three hits in the first game of the doubleheader – one from Michael Carrano Jr., Jax Hisle, and John Shuey – and the Trailblazers put up 10 runs on 12 hits. The Cobra defense did not commit a single error, however, and first baseman Andrew Gallegos made the most plays with 10. 
 
Cody DelFavero (3.0 IP, 11 H, 8 R, 8 ER, 0 BB, 2 K) took his second loss of the season and Mike Boyce (2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 0 K) came on in relief, throwing 1.1 innings and allowing one hit.

Lewis & Clark got the 3-0 lead in the first two innings, but the Cobras were able to string together some hits in the 4th inning to get on the board. Jayden Patel hit a sacrifice fly to score the first run and Andrew Gallegos singled to score another run and make the score 3-2. However, neither team put up another run in the game, and the Trailblazers secured the second win of the day. 

Tyler Tylka (6.0 IP, 3 R, 3 ER, 2 BB) took the loss, allowing five hits and striking out five. 

Up next, the Cobras play a home doubleheader against Lewis & Clark Community College Saturday, April 19. The first game is scheduled for 12:00 pm at the Parkland College Baseball Field.
