Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 PERRYSBURG, Ohio—Parkland College Volleyball continued its strong start to the 2025 season, earning two victories on Friday in the opening day of the Owens Invitational. The Cobras swept Terra State Community College 3-0 (25-10, 25-10, 25-7) before taking down Muskegon Community College 3-1 (25-13, 25-19, 22-25, 25-15), improving their overall record to 10-0.

In the opener against Terra State, Parkland showcased balance and efficiency, hitting .527 as a team. Freshman Bella McKinney led the attack with 9 kills on a .692 hitting percentage, while Shay McMillen and Sophia Ray each added 8 and 6 kills, respectively. Setter Hailey Warfel distributed the offense with 16 assists. At the net, the Cobras dominated defensively, finishing with four players each having 3 block assists. 

The Cobras carried their momentum into a four-set win over Muskegon, where McMillen powered the offense with 15 kills and 16 digs for a double-double. McKinney followed with 9 kills, while Riley Reis was efficient with 3 kills on 6 swings. Warfel again ran the attack with 36 assists, and Anna McEwen shined defensively with 21 digs. Parkland's blocking also proved critical, with Natalie Alexander contributing 5 block assists and Warfel adding 3.

For the second day of the tournament, Parkland is scheduled to play two matches on August 30th, against Southwestern Michigan College at 10:45AM and No. 20 Mott Community College at 2:15PM.
