Box Score CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — September 18, 2025 — Parkland College men's soccer put together one of its most complete performances of the season on Thursday, defeating No. 16 Heartland Community College 4–2 at home. The win marks the Cobras' second straight Region 24 victory and improves their record to 5–4.
The Cobras jumped out to a 2–0 lead in the first half. Juliano Baptiste opened the scoring in the 28th minute off an assist from Santiago Samame, before Christophin Ngassam doubled the advantage 11 minutes later on a setup from Jonas Martinez.
Parkland added to its lead in the second half when Marcos Arorez Campa converted in the 61st minute with help from Gustavo Poli, who later notched his second assist of the night by setting up Isaac Warren's 78th-minute strike.
In all, four different Cobras found the back of the net, while three others tallied assists, highlighting Parkland's depth in attack.
The Cobras now turn their attention to another Region 24 matchup when they travel to Lewis & Clark Community College in Godfrey, Illinois, on September 20th.
