Hayden Litteken and
Noah Grieshaber split duties at the net with 45 minutes of play each, both finishing with 1 save each for the match.
Head Coach
Mark Sikora commented on his team's performance after a miraculous finish:
"Great response from last game, whole team really showed up for the most part today in terrible playing conditions. Team defending was fantastic, limiting a strong team to a few shots on goal which were handled well by both
Noah Grieshaber and
Hayden Litteken in goal today. The game looked out of reach when we gave up a goal with 50 seconds left but the team didn't fold, fought until the end, and scores off a corner with 1 second left to earn another draw!"
The Cobras move to 2-4-6 on the season, while the Pioneers move to 8-3-1.
Up Next:
The Cobras return home this weekend, facing St. Charles Community College as part of a doubleheader with Women's Soccer on Saturday, October 3rd at 2 PM in Champaign.
