No. 7 Cobras Beat Lincoln Land in Comeback Fashion

Parkland Battles to Win Five Set Thriller

Springfield, Il -- August 26, 2026 -- The Parkland volleyball team battled back from a two set deficit on Wednesday night to beat Lincoln Land in a five set thriller. The Loggers started out strong, taking the first two sets in a close battle (26-24, 26-24) to build an early 2-0 lead. Despite this, the Cobras were able to respond, taking the final three sets 25-14, 25-20 and 15-12 to win the match 3-2.

The Cobra attack was led by Alayna Briggs with 18 kills while Reis McFarland added 13 kills of her own to go along with her 21 digs. Khloe Stear led the defense with 33 digs, with Schlittler and Briggs combined for an additional 24 digs. Chloe Eeten once again directed the offense with a season high 42 assists to help the Cobras earn the comeback victory in Springfield.

With the win, the Cobras improve to 7-0 on the season, while Lincoln Land drops to 1-4.

Up Next:
The Cobras will head to Perrysburg, Ohio this weekend to compete in the Owens invitational, facing Edison State on Friday August 28th at noon followed by Clark State at 4 PM.
