Box Score Champaign, Il -- September 12, 2026 -- The Parkland men's soccer team dropped a weekend match to Iowa Central Community College, losing 3-1 on Saturday in Champaign.
The Tritons found the net late in the first half to take a 1-0 lead into halftime.
Dylan Blagden responded for the Parkland, finding the net for the Cobras off an assist from
Pierce Cannon in the 58th minute to even the score at 1-1, but a late surge would put the Tritons back in front 3-1 after netting goals in the 71st and 88th minutes to put the game out of reach.
The Cobras as a team finished with 14 shots for the match with 4 on frame.
Johan Cortez would put up three of his own with one on frame, while Parkland also had help from
Alexander Williams,
Simonas Ankstutis and
Believe Avida, combining for six shots with three on frame for the Cobras. Goalie
Noah Grieshaber had three saves at the net.
Parkland falls to 0-3-2 on the season while Iowa Central improves to 4-2.
