Champaign, Il -- September 26, 2026 -- The Parkland College Men's Soccer team hosted East Central College on Saturday in Champaign. Despite creating some good opportunities on offense, the Cobras could not find the net as the game ended in a 0-0 draw.

The Cobras were led by Alexander Williams, who finished with 4 shots with 2 on goal. Believe Avida had 3 shots of his own with 2 on frame. Pierce Cannon also finished with 3 total shots with 1 on frame, and Johan Cortez posted 2 shots, 1 on frame of his own. Noah Greishaber had another big day at the net, finishing with 4 saves through a full 90-minute outing to keep the Falcons out of the net. The Cobras finished as a team with 14 total shots with 6 shots on goal for the match. Despite creating some big chances to score, the Cobras were unable to break through the Falcon defense and forced to settle for a draw.

Head Coach Mark Sikora commented on his team's effort after closing out a big week:

"That game was definitely balanced, I think we expected that. They're a very tough region 16 team and they had a few chances. Huge congratulations to Noah, he was in the right place at the right time. His positioning as a goalkeeper really helped us keep in the game. I don't think we played as clean as we should have, especially in the final third. When we have five or six really good opportunities that we can't convert, that's just kind of the story of how this game goes. But it is game three in six days and they were really feeling it. I appreciate the effort, they really gutted one out today."

The Cobras move to 2-3-5 on the season with the draw.
