Springfield, Il -- September 26, 2026 -- The No. 5 Parkland College Volleyball team competed at the Lincoln Land Tournament in Springfield this Friday and Saturday. The Cobras went 4-0 on the weekend, sweeping three of four matches to improve to 29-1 on the season and extend their win streak to 20.

Friday, September 25th

Match 1: Parkland 3, Hawkeye College 2 (25-15, 25-15, 12-25, 16-25, 17-15)
The Cobras survived a late scare against Hawkeye Community College in the opening match of the weekend. After Parkland won the first two sets, the Redtails stormed back to tie the match at 2-2. The Cobras battled through a tight 5th set but came out on top 17-15 to take the match. Alayna Briggs finished with 18 kills and 20 digs while hitting .196 to lead the team. Reis McFarland added 14 kills and 13 digs while hitting .136. Khloe Stear led the defense with 27 digs, while Mia Stivers added another 13. Bella McKinney added 9 kills while Brogan Anderson added 8 digs, and Chloe Eeten finished with 37 assists and added 9 digs. 

Match 2: Parkland 3, Ellsworth 0 (25-23, 25-13, 25-13)
The Cobras wrapped up the Friday slate against Ellsworth Community College, sweeping the Panthers in three sets. Reis McFarland led the attack with 13 kills while adding 9 digs and hitting .286, while Khloe Stear led the defense with 21 digs. Alayna Briggs added 8 kills and 12 digs while hitting .107, and Mia Stivers added 7 kills while hitting .385. Chloe Eeten led the Cobras hitting .429 and finishing with 29 assists as the Cobras finished the match hitting .260 as a team, highlighted by a .441 hitting percentage in the second set.


Saturday, September 26th

Match 3: Parkland 3, East Central 0 (25-20, 25-17, 25-14)
The Cobras opened day two at the Lincoln Land Tournament against East Central College. The Cobras earned another straight set sweep and cruised past the Falcons. Alayna Briggs put up 15 kills and 16 digs for the Cobras while hitting .394. Reis McFarland added 12 kills and 13 digs, but the defense was anchored once again by Khloe Stear, finishing with 21 digs, while Brogan Anderson added 10 digs of her own. Chloe Eeten paced the offense with 27 assists as Parkland hit .162 for the match as a team.

Match 4: Parkland 3, Olive Harvey 0 (25-14, 26-24, 25-14)
The Cobras closed out the weekend against Olive Harvey College. The Cobras swept the Panthers in straight sets to go 4-0 on the weekend and extend their win streak to 20.Reis McFarland finished with 11 kills and led the team hitting .357, while Alayna Briggs added 8 and Chloe Eeten added 7. On the defensive end, Khloe Stear led the way with 23 digs, while Alayna Briggs and Brogan Anderson combined for 22 digs, and Karaline Vanausdoll added another 12 digs for the Cobra defense.

The Cobras improve to 29-1 on the season after going undefeated this weekend in Springfield.
