Champaign, Il — September 29, 2026 — The Parkland College Men's Soccer team dropped a tough match against #10 Madison College in Champaign on Tuesday.

The Wolf Pack started out hot on offense, putting up three goals in the first half, followed by a second half surge, scoring 3 more goals to double the lead. Despite some good looks offensively, the Cobras were shut down on offense as Madison College took the win 6-0. Parkland College was limited to 3 shots, 2 on goal for the match, while Madison College finished with 16 shots, 12 on goal. Alexander Williams finished with 1 shot on frame for the Cobras, while Noah Grieshaber finished with 6 saves through 72 minutes at the net. 

Head Coach Mark Sikora commented following a tough match against a top ten opponent:

"Under the best circumstances, this was gonna be a tough match against a top ten team in the country. It was just too much for our guys to handle, I'll probably take some of the blame on this one just because I've stacked a schedule that's so unrelenting. I give a lot of credit to our guys who just pushed through. You watch this game long enough, you know some players can get so frustrated, and our guys didn't do that. I give them a lot of credit for keeping professional in a moment where it felt like everything was against them. Not a lot of rest, we go again on Thursday against another tough Region 4 opponent. Hopefully we can put a team together that can be competitive."

With the loss, the Cobras drop to 2-4-5 on the season, while Madison College improves to 6-1-2 on the season.
