Chase Bourgasser

nChase Bourgasser enters his first season at the helm of the Parkland College Women’s Soccer program, bringing a professional, development-focused approach rooted in accountability, competitiveness, and long-term program growth.

Bourgasser’s coaching career is defined by a steady progression through every level of the game. He began his journey coaching the Army Team while in service, followed by foundational years in Youth Leagues. He then transitioned to the high school level, serving as the head coach for the High School Boys program in Sullivan, Indiana, where he focused on player mentorship and tactical instruction.

His collegiate coaching career is highlighted by a successful tenure at Chemeketa Community College in Salem, Oregon, where he guided the program to its best finish in over a decade and significantly improved the team’s defensive record. Most recently, Bourgasser served at Eureka College before bringing his experience to Champaign to lead the Cobras.

Bourgasser’s coaching philosophy centers on creating a high-standard environment where student-athletes are challenged to grow across four key pillars: technical precision, tactical intelligence, physical readiness, and mental resilience. He emphasizes a high-tempo style of play and organized defensive structures that demand both individual work ethic and collective player initiative.

In recruiting, he has successfully built relationships both domestically and internationally, attracting talent from across the United States and overseas. At Parkland, his focus is on building a culture of resilience and a "team-first" mentality, aiming to establish the Cobras as a perennial contender in the NJCAA.

Before transitioning to collegiate coaching full-time, Bourgasser served in the United States Army as a Patriot Missile Defense Operator and Military Police Officer. This background in disciplined leadership and collaborative environments informs his approach to building team culture and managing high-pressure competitive scenarios.

Bourgasser holds a Master of Science in Physical Education (Coaching) from Indiana State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Psychology. He maintains a diverse portfolio of coaching credentials, including USSF certifications and UEFA Goalkeeping licenses.
