Zachary Bush is entering his second year coaching at Parkland College. Zach has coached for Prime Time Volleyball Club for five seasons at the high school level, and his seventh overall. Two years ago he was the head coach of Prime Time 15 Blue, leading the team to a 9th place finish among over 150+ teams at AAU’s and won the AAU super-regional as well. This past club season he won the AAU super regional again with Prime Time 16 Blue and placed 18th out of 142 teams.
Bush got his start as an assistant for the Wethersfield High School varsity program following a year as the team manager. In the 2015 Wethersfield volleyball season they made their first appearance ever in state and took third place. He also began his first assistant high school coaching job in the Champaign area at Centennial High School in 2015. Since then he has been the assistant varsity coach twice and served as the program's JV head coach for the 2016 season. He has coached at the Illinois summer camps for four  years and the University of Minnesota camp for the past 2 years.
As a player, Bush grew up playing in area sand and indoor volleyball leagues, before continuing his competitive volleyball career as Rightside/Setter for the Illinois Men’s Volleyball team. Zach assisted with the Illinois women's program in 2016 on the administrative side while assisting with practices. Bush just graduated from the University of Illinois in December 2018 with a Communication degree in the college of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
