Parkland College Athletics named men's basketball player Carter Jeffries as its December Male Athlete of the Month. Jeffries led his team to a 3-1 record for the month and a #17 national ranking.
 
The sophomore guard from Niles, Mich., averaged 22 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, and 1 block per game during the month of December. He recorded a season-high 36 points on December 4th in a 4-point win at Kankakee. The Cobras' overall record is now 10-3, and it reached a #17 national ranking by month's end.
 
"Coming off an injury and working his way into the starting lineup, Carter has started to really score the ball," stated head coach Anthony Figueroa. "He has put in a lot of work outside of practice and it has shown in our games. We will look to him to be a consistent threat as we head into conference play."
