#3 Parkland Men earn 10th win of season

The #3 ranked Parkland Men's Basketball team improved to (10-1) on Thursday as they earned a hard fought 84-76 road victory at Morton College in Cicero.

PC jumped out to a 24-12 lead but then the offense stalled and the Panthers were able to claw back into the game by outscoring PC 25-15 an trailed just 39-37 at the break.

Morton grabbed an early 42-41 second half lead but PC responded with a run of their own, eventually building their lead to as many as 14 points and the Panthers never really threatened.

Isaiah Curry paced the Cobra attack as he finished with a double-double scoring 17 points and grabbing 11 boards. Jordache Mavunga had 13 points, 12 coming in the first half as he knocked down four three-pointers. Quin Nottingham came off the bench to at 14 points to go along with 3 assists and 3 steals while making 8 of 10 from the line. Marcus Latham also finished in double digits with 10 points while handing out 4 assists.  A key part of the victory was just 9 Cobra turnovers compared to 19 for the Panthers.

Parkland is off until next Tuesday when they will take on Robert Morris-Peoria at 6:00 in their final home game of the fall semester.  Fans are encouraged to wear their favorite "ugly holiday sweater" to the game.
