CASEYVILLE, Ill. – The Parkland men's golf team wrapped up its 2018 fall schedule on Tuesday, tying with the University of Illinois-Springfield for third place at the McKendree Bearcat. Playing the final of three rounds, the Cobras finished at 17-over par for the tournament. Maryville University won the Bearcat at 1-under par.

Freshman
Mason Ghidina was one of just five golfers to finish under par for the tournament, taking fifth at 1-under. Entering the day at 1-under, Ghidina shot carded three birdies during Tuesday's final round and finished two strokes off medalist Tobias Lanner (-3).
A pair of Parkland sophomores followed Ghidina for second and third on the team, as
Kristian Kristensen finished in a tie for 11
th place at 5-over par and
Jalen Hodges tied for 15
th at 6-over par.
Outside of Ghidina,
Brandon Rowe had the Cobras' best round on Tuesday. Rowe shot a 2-over 74 on the day, aided by three birdies on his final nine holes.
Sophomore
Drew Sobol rounded out the Parkland golfers at 15-over par for the tournament.
With the conclusion of their 2018 fall season, the Cobras will begin preparing for the spring season. Parkland finished third at NJCAA Nationals last season, marking its best finish in program history.
