The #10 Parkland Men jumped out to an early lead and never trailed Tuesday as they defeated Lincoln Land 64-54 in Springfield. The Cobras improved to (18-4 3-2) with five games remaining in their regular season.
PC would take control early as they led 13-4 with 11:25 to go in the half. Points would be at a premium for both teams over the first twenty minutes and the Loggers were able to tie the contest at 24 before Devonte Daniels would score the final four points of the half including a bucket at the buzzer. Daniels would finish the half with 6 points and 3 boards while
Jordache Mavunga came off the bench to score 8.

The Cobras would maintaintain their lead in the 5-10 point range for the majority of the second half but one final Logger run would cut the PC lead to just four at 50-46 with 3:31 to go. Parkland would outscore LLCC 14-8 from that point on as they pulled away for the 10 point victory.
Mavunga lead all scorers as he had a game high 16 points and 5 boards.
Marcus Latham added 11 points and 5 rebounds while
Isaiah Curry finished with 10 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Devonte Daniels had a strong over-all game adding 8 points, 5 boards, and 4 assists and did not miss a shot from the field or line. PC was 10-11 at the charity stripe for the game including 4-4 in the final seconds to seal the win. They also dominated the glass 35-22.
Parkland will take the court again on Saturday as they will travel to Lincoln to take on the #15 Lynx (19-4 2-3) starting at 3:00.
