CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The No. 15 Parkland men's basketball team (15-4, 2-0 MWAC) won its fourth in a row, a 94-43 decisive win over Illinois Central College (9-12, 0-2 MWAC). The victory was its second in a row in conference play as well.
The Cobras led from the start, taking a 48-18 halftime lead and never looking back. All five starters scored in double figures, including
Bruno Williams Jr. (12 points, 11 rebounds, 8 assists, 4 steals) who nearly earned a triple-double. Offensive support came from
Charles Campbell Jr. (19 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals),
Carter Jeffries (13 points, 2 rebounds),
Joey Saracco (13 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals), and
Noah Persich (12 points, 2 assists). Parkland shot 55% from the field for the game and held the Cougars to just 34%. The Cobras outrebounded the Illinois Central, 39-23, and had a total of 22 assists and 14 steals.
