GODFREY, Ill. –Parkland women's basketball (21-6, 4-4 MWAC) lost, 70-79, to Lewis & Clark (12-14, 2-6 MWAC), falling to .500 in conference play with two games remaining.
The Cobras trailed by 8 points after one quarter but pulled back to within four, 40-44, at the half. The Trailblazers pushed the margin back up to 8 after three quarters, and Parkland could not get any closer in the fourth.
Peyton Crowe (18 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals) led the Cobras in scoring, while
Emily Meinert (16 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists), who posted her 17th double-double of the season, was strongest on the boards. Additional offense came from
Ariana Booker (12 points),
Naomi McDaniel (9 points, 6 rebounds), and
Bree Trimble (8 points, 2 rebounds).
