CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Parkland men's basketball (20-7, 5-3 MWAC) overwhelmed Lincoln Land CC (4-26, 0-8 MWAC), earning a 106-61 victory.
The Cobras were in control throughout the game, taking a 48-25 lead into halftime. For the game, the visiting Loggers were held to 35% shooting from the floor. Parkland shot 58% from the floor, including 45 points from beyond the arc. The Cobras also dominated the boards, 42-21.
Carter Jeffries (25 points, 3 assists, 2 steals) led all scorers. Other Cobras in double-digits were
Joey Saracco (15 points, 9 rebounds),
Tommy Makabu (14 points, 2 assists),
Charles Campbell Jr. (12 points, 9 rebounds, 2 blocks), and
Bruno Williams Jr. (10 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists).
Noah Persich (9 points, 6 assists) and
Kamari Kenemore (9 points, 4 assists, 2 steals) led Parkland to a total of 24 assists on 39 baskets.
