CHAMPAIGN, Ill. –Parkland women's basketball (19-3, 3-1 MWAC) defeated Danville Area CC (5-11, 0-3 MWAC) by the final score of 77-53.
The Cobras offense stayed hot on a snowy night, as the team combined to shoot 63% in the first three quarters on the way to its second conference victory in a row.
Lotte Miller (5 assists, 3 rebounds) led her teammates to 23 assists on 30 baskets, while
Naomi McDaniel (14 points, 8 rebounds) led the team in out-rebounding the Jaguars, 32-15.
Offensive leaders for Parkland included
Cassie Russo (18 points, 7 rebounds), who had a career-high night,
Emily Meinert (16 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 blocks),
Peyton Crowe (14 points, 2 steals), and McDaniel.
The Cobras led at all stops, building a 17-point halftime lead, expanding on it in the 3rd period, and then cruising to the final margin.
