SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – The Parkland College women's soccer team couldn't get the job done on the road Saturday, dropping a conference game to Lincoln Land Community College 2-1. The Loggers get their revenge on the Cobras, who beat them 4-1 in Champaign earlier this season.
Â
"While we are currently struggling to get a win, we are seeing some good things out on the pitch," said Head Coach
Dan Vogelsang after the loss. "Errors have cost us goals and we are not capitalizing on our opponents' errors."
Â
The Cobras (3-8-0) got out in front first, scoring in the 26
th minute when
Izzy Fritz got a pass from
Bridget DeLorenzo and the sophomore scored. The Loggers (2-7-2) came out of halftime fired up and applied pressure on the Cobras for the rest of the game. The press paid off and Lincoln Land was able to find the back of the net twice, handing Parkland its fifth loss in a row.
Â
"We are going to make some necessary adjustments and focus on the remaining 7 games of the season," Coach Vogelsang promised.

Scoring Summary:
Parkland Goal:
Izzy Fritz 26' (Assisted by
Bridget DeLorenzo)
