CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Parkland men's soccer team hosted East Central College on Wednesday afternoon, coming out on top 3-2 in an action-packed battle that featured two red cards and a penalty kick. The Cobras fought hard against the Falcons and the weather conditions and secured their 10
th win of the season and fifth straight.

The Cobras (10-2-1) got on the board first when
Cameron Walker scored in the 10
th, but the Falcons didn't stay down long, scoring in the 31st minute after a slide tackle in the box resulted in a penalty kick against backup goalkeeper
Sebastian Staddon. The two teams went into halftime locked at 1-1. Parkland had a strong start to the second half when Cameron Rushworth put the Cobras back on top in the 49
th minute off a set piece, but the Falcons responded again with a goal of their own only three minutes later. Eight minutes after, following a player from East Central College picking up their second yellow card, Parkland executed another set piece when an
Eikichi Saito shot was deflected right to
Yamato Kline's feet, and the reliable freshman forward put the Cobras up for good.

Sebastian Staddon early in the second half after reaggravating a foot injury. Gigliozzi and Staddon each had two saves in the winning effort.
