Box Score CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Parkland men's basketball team took care of business at home on Saturday night, beating Glen Oaks 89-80. The Cobras have now won two games in a row after starting the season 0-2.
Marcus Johnson had a huge game off the bench, tallying 15 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists.

The Cobras (2-2) really leaned on Sophomore
Savon Wykle early, who had 14 points on 5-8 shooting in the first half to lead the Cobras to a 47-38 halftime lead. The Vikings (1-3) would not go away in the second half, using a full court press and forcing 12 turnovers. Parkland needed someone to step up, and right on cue
A'Kieon Gill did. The Sophomore from Champaign came off the bench and helped facilitate the Cobras offense, finishing with 4 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. In the end the Vikings could never make up for the Cobras early lead, and coach Figueroa's squad picked up the 89-80 win.
