Box Score CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Parkland men's basketball team couldn't keep up with the fast-paced Lake Land College Lakers, losing at home 99-84 on Tuesday night. The Cobras struggled from behind the arc all night, shooting 21 percent (4-19), and were outrebounded 31-26 on the way to their first home loss this season.
Savon Wykle led the Cobras in scoring for the second straight game, ending up with 22 points.

The Cobras (3-4) were a two-man show of
Sean Ealy and
Savon Wykle in the first half. The two returning starters combined for 34 points in the first half. Ealy was 12-12 from the free throw line and the team shot 21-23 from the charity stripe in the opening half, Parkland held the lead at halftime 53-51. The Lakers (3-2) picked up the intensity defensively in the second half while managing to foul much less. Lake Land had nine steals in the second half and 17 points off turnovers compared to Parkland's seven. The Lakers switched to a 1-2-2 zone late in the game that gave the Cobras fits and suddenly they were on the wrong end of a 12-2 run with 2:44 left. The Cobras couldn't climb back into the game late and dropped their second game in a row, 99-84.
