The Cobras (0-2) were caught in a low-scoring heavyweight fight early in this game, with neither team able to out-muscle the other. Late in the second quarter, the Cobras missed the front end of a 1-and-1 that resulted in a Greyhound layup at the buzzer to give ASU Mid-South (2-1) a 35-29 lead at halftime. The offensive struggles continued for the Cobras in the second half, scoring only two points in the first eight minutes. The Greyhounds were able to stretch their lead out to 10 by the beginning of the fourth quarter and the Cobras were never able to catch up, losing on the road 75-59.
