No. 20 Cobras Fall 75-59 to ASU Mid-South in Greyhound Tipoff Classic

Cobras start 0-2 for the first time under head coach Anthony Figueroa

Box Score CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Parkland men's basketball team dropped their second game of the season on Saturday, falling 75-59 to Arkansas State University Mid-South in the Greyhound Tipoff Classic in West Memphis, AR. This is the first team an Anthony Figueroa-led Parkland team has started out the season 0-2. The Cobras were led by Sophomore Sean Ealy, who tallied 16 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists in the losing effort.
 
The Cobras (0-2) were caught in a low-scoring heavyweight fight early in this game, with neither team able to out-muscle the other. Late in the second quarter, the Cobras missed the front end of a 1-and-1 that resulted in a Greyhound layup at the buzzer to give ASU Mid-South (2-1) a 35-29 lead at halftime. The offensive struggles continued for the Cobras in the second half, scoring only two points in the first eight minutes. The Greyhounds were able to stretch their lead out to 10 by the beginning of the fourth quarter and the Cobras were never able to catch up, losing on the road 75-59.
