CENTREVILLE, Mich. – The Parkland men's basketball team started off strong and confidently cruised to an 81-64 point road win at Glen Oaks Community College on Saturday evening.
A'Kieon Gill led all scorers with 17 points to give the Cobras their fifth straight win. Gill scored nine of the Cobras last 13 points. The Cobras shot over 60 percent from the field in both halves. This is their third straight victory of 15 or more points and their fourth straight win on the road.

The Cobras (8-4) started off on an 18-4 run, capped off by a
Marcus Johnson three-point shot with 11:17 remaining in the opening half. Parkland was up by at least 15 for most of the first and led 42-21 at halftime. The Vikings (6-5) cut the score to 44-29 early in the second half, thanks to an 8-2 run, but Sophomore
Josh Rivers scored seven of the Cobras' next nine points and led his team to a confident 81-64 win. Qualen Pettus led the Vikings in scoring with 17 points, also tallying three rebounds, two assists and 2 steals in the loss.
Jamil Hardaway and
Marcus Johnson (9 points, 5 rebounds) led Parkland in rebounds with identical stat lines and
Sean Ealy (11 points, 3 assists) led the team in assists and free throws.
