CHAMPAIGN, Ill. –No. 5 Parkland College Women's Basketball (8-0, 3-0 M-WAC) continued to add to the win column with a 74-21 conference victory over Danville Area CC (3-5, 1-2).
The game was tight very early, with the Cobras holding an 11-10 edge with one-minute remaining in the first period. At that point, Parkland went on a 13-0 run, holding a 24-10 lead at the 6-minute mark in the second period. The Jaguars ended the run, and when the buzzer sounded, the Cobras were up, 30-19.
After the break, stifling defense and rebounding from the Cobras, combined with cold shooting from Danville Area, produced a lop-sided half in which the Jaguars scored only one bucket, which came with two seconds remaining in the third period.

Mady Harper (11 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals) were strong both offensively and defensively, scoring in double-digits and combining for 6 of the team's 10 steals.
Naomi McDaniel (10 points, 7 rebounds, 3 blocks) dominated in the paint on both ends, scoring 10 points and leading in rebounds and blocked shots.
