CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Parkland College women's soccer team couldn't win their fourth in a row on Thursday night, losing to Kaskaskia by a score of 3-1.
The Cobras (3-5) struck first when sophomore
Izzy Fritz converted a penalty kick after she was fouled inside the box in the 28
th minute, but the Blue Devils (3-2) scored just before the half ended to make it 1-1 at the break. Kaskaskia kept the pressure on in the second half and netted two quick goals in the 72
nd and 73
rd minute to walk out of Champaign with a 3-1 victory. Parkland goalkeeper
Rebecca Painter finished the game with an impressive 12 saves.
