CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Parkland College women's soccer team fell to Heartland Community College Hawks 4-0 on Sunday afternoon, their second loss to the Hawks this season. Heartland Community scored twice in each half and held Parkland to zero shots on goal.
The Cobras (3-6-0) came into this game with a defensive mindset, having lost 12-0 the last time these two teams met. The Hawks (8-0-0) were able to score early, but the Cobras did their best to limit their chances. Parkland went into halftime down 2-0 and continued to face shots on goal all game. Goalkeeper Becky Painter finished with 12 saves as the Cobras lost 4-0.
