Parkland Men’s Basketball Falls 85-74 to Arkansas Mid-South

The Cobras start the season 0-1

Box Score WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. – The Parkland College men's basketball team faced a tough road test in the team's season opener at Arkansas Mid-South in the Greyhound Tipoff Classic, and the Cobras fell short, 85-74 to the Greyhounds in a back-and-forth game in West Memphis. The game was the Cobras' first under new Head Coach and Assistant Athletic Director, John Bowler. The Chicago native and former University of Milwaukee Wisconsin assistant coach gave credit to his opponent after his first game at the helm of the Parkland program.

"Arkansas Mid-South played well and hit shots on their court. With that being said, we need to execute better for a full 40 minutes and that's always a struggle when you have as many new faces as we do."

"We have a resilient group in this locker room," Bowler continued. "I'm confident that we will continue to clean up our mistakes."

Up next, the Cobras take on National Park College Saturday, November 5th, in the team's final game at the Greyhound Classic. Tipoff is scheduled for 12:00 PM.
