Box Score EAST PEORIA, Ill. – The Parkland men's basketball team shot over 60% from the field and won a high-scoring 114-101 conference matchup on Monday night against Illinois Central College. The Cobras came out on top in a game that featured 44 turnovers, 52 fouls and 61 free-throw attempts.

The Cobras (14-6) (5-1) opened the game on an 11-0 run, capped off by an
A'Kieon Gill (17 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals) three-pointer with 16:33 left in the first. Parkland kept building on their lead all half, stretching it out to 60-30 at halftime. The Cougars (9-14) (2-6) scored a quick four points to start the second half, but the Cobras quickly responded with a 15-6 run to give them a 34-point lead, their largest of the game. The Cougars answered with an 11-0 run and Illinois Central began to climb back into the game. Both teams played hard down the stretch, forcing turnovers and getting to the free throw line, but it was just the Cobras' night as Parkland shot 33-38 (86.8%) from the free throw line in the 114-101 win.
Sean Ealy (20 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals) had his highest-scoring performance of the season in the Cobras' fourth straight conference win.
