Box Score CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Parkland men's basketball team won a close one on Sophomore Day, defeating Illinois Central College 69-68 on Saturday afternoon. The Cobras (16-6) (7-1) have now won six straight conference games and remain in first place in the MWAC. Parkland's defense stepped it up, forcing 22 turnovers in the win over the Cougars (9-16) (2-7) and Josh Rivers led the way for the Cobras with 18 points.

The sophomore Cobras who were recognized by the Parkland College Athletic Department before the game were Josh Candler, Sean Ealy, A'Kieon Gill, Jamil Hardaway, Josh Rivers and Savon Wykle.
