Parkland Men’s Basketball Falls 77-74 at Spoon River

The Cobras suffer their second straight road loss

Box Score CANTON, Ill. – The Parkland College men's basketball team suffered another close, conference loss on the road on Thursday, January 26th, as the Cobras fell short, 77-74, at Spoon River. The Cobras (9-8) (1-2) led 42-34 at halftime, but with the game tied at 74 late, the Snappers (14-8) (2-1) hit a game-winning three with less than three seconds remaining to hand Parkland their second conference loss of the season. Freshman Ken Sallee led the Cobras with 11 points in the loss.

Up next, the Cobras welcome Lincoln Land Community College to Champaign on Saturday, January 28th. Tip-off against the Loggers (7-10) (2-1) is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
